The Cottage Industry Microenterprise Program of the Center for Community Development, Inc. (CCDI) is known on the national and state level as "Microenterprise". These programs are designed to nurture and implement neighborhood capitalism.

For the citizens of Hampton Roads, CCDI’s Cottage Industry program acts as a catalyst for low income persons, women and minorities, to realize their dream of small business ownership. CCDI’s support to citizens in this effort includes dispensation of inspiration, training and/or financing.
